Frederick County Humane Society
This brochure was created as part of a promotional package — during the AIGA Mockup contest in 2016 — along with the logo which was created by one of my other team members. Keeping in mind that the company was a non-profit organization, I made sure to keep the design on a white background with no bleed to keep down printing costs. I also created a piece that would work the same in black and white in case funding changed and the printing costs had to be cut. With a simple design like this, it can be printed in house if needed and hand folded to avoid the costs of a printer. When working with a non-profit this can be make or break, as they often don't have much funding for promotional materials.
The inside of the brochure breaks the information into smaller chunks of information to help the reader find what they are looking for easily. Each section is a category of service that this non-profit provides. These services are all linked directly back to the logo by the simple, iconic symbols that are in the logo and on each section head. This use of the icons creates a gestalt among the branding for this great organization. |
